Job Deacription
As the Law Firm Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the firm by managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial statements, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial laws and regulations. This is a key role in supporting the firm’s operations and upholding its financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
- Manage billing and client trust accounts in accordance with legal industry standards.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
- Process payroll and manage employee expense reports.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Collaborate with accountants and external auditors during tax and financial audits.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant financial regulations and legal requirements.

- AAT Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting.

- Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with legal billing and trust accounting procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality.
