Job Summary:

The role involves supervising site activities for Output and Performance-based Road Contracts (OPRC) and ensuring all operations adhere to project standards and contractual requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of a road construction, maintenance and performance-based contracting. The incumbent should have exceptional project management skills, technical expertise and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations on construction sites and ensure compliance with OPRC project requirements.
• Resource management, including the sourcing and allocation of plant and workforce.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules and programmes.
• Coordinate with project managers and contractors to achieve project milestones.
• Ensure quality control, manage site documentation, and uphold contractual compliance.
• Address on-site challenges and discrepancies in the construction process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management, including direct involvement in at least one OPRC project.
• Expertise in resourcing plant and workforce effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive project programmes.
• Familiarity with contractual matters and the regulatory environment in the SADC region.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Citizenship or valid residency in Botswana is required.
