Basic Function:
This role is responsible for providing high-level mineral resource estimation and geological services to ensure that operational assets deliver maximum value. The position involves accurately interpreting and estimating mineral deposits, meeting technical standards of excellence, and conducting robust technical due diligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce or supervise the creation of high-quality mineral resource estimates suitable for public reporting and reliable mine planning at MMG sites.
• Develop or oversee high-quality grade control resource estimates for operational planning.
• Provide advanced mineral resource estimation and geological services while driving continuous technical improvement.
• Deliver comprehensive and high-quality technical reports.
• Contribute to the preparation, review, and coordination of the company’s mineral resource and ore reserve reports.
• Ensure management is well-informed on technical and commercial matters for effective decision-making.
• Conduct regular reviews to reconcile mine and milled production.
• Support the team in delivering high-quality resource models on time and ensure they are updated regularly.
• Adhere to all Work Quality Requirements (WQRs) relevant to the role and assist in updating WQRs to improve work quality.
• Assist site geological staff in achieving or exceeding budgets through geological excellence.
• Support the development of Life of Asset (LoA) plans aligned with MMG guidelines.
• Support the development of short-term (3-month) plans in line with MMG guidelines.
• Comply with MMG’s management systems and all statutory and legal standards.
• Contribute to enhancing the reputation of the Technical Services team across the MMG group.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science with a major in geoscience disciplines.
• Membership in AusIMM or a professional organization (RPOs) recognized by the ASX.
• Relevant Chartered Professional accreditation or willingness to attain it.
• Post-graduate qualification (or working towards one) in Geology, Geostatistics, or Mining.
• At least 10 years of relevant geological and industry experience.
