Job Description:
The Senior Manager – Assurance will lead the Francistown branch, focusing on driving business growth, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring service excellence in all assurance engagements. This leadership position requires a strong mix of technical expertise, strategic vision, and people management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Branch Leadership and Business Growth
• Manage the Francistown branch, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
• Drive profitability by setting and achieving financial targets
• Identify growth opportunities within existing portfolios and new sectors
• Develop and implement business strategies to expand the firm’s regional footprint
• Represent the firm at key industry events and professional forums
Client Relationship Management
• Build and manage strong client relationships
• Act as primary contact for clients and ensure exceptional service delivery
• Oversee quality control across all assurance engagements
• Understand and address clients' financial and compliance needs
Business Development and Revenue Generation
• Seek and secure new business opportunities
• Lead proposal development and contract negotiations
• Ensure revenue targets are met through effective client engagement and billing strategies
Team Leadership and People Development
• Recruit, mentor, and develop team members
• Set performance goals, provide feedback, and promote a learning culture
• Foster accountability, teamwork, and excellence in execution
Risk Management and Compliance
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and professional standards
• Implement and monitor risk controls for client engagements
• Oversee compliance with internal policies and HR procedures
Financial and Operational Oversight
• Monitor branch financial performance, revenue, and profitability
• Manage budget approvals and project cost-effectiveness
• Oversee debt collection and ensure timely billing and invoicing
Qualifications & Experience:
• Professional qualification: CA/ACCA/CIMA/CMA/CPA from an IFAC-recognized body and recognized by BICA
• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience
• At least 5 years in a senior managerial role within a professional services environment
• Demonstrated leadership in business development and strategic planning
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive profitability, and uphold quality standards
