Job Descriptions

We are seeking a seasoned skilled Diamond Drilling Machine Operator to support core extraction and geological exploration projects. This role requires a technically proficient individual who can operate and maintain diamond core drilling machines under challenging terrain and weather conditions. If you have a strong understanding of subsurface sampling and are safety-driven, this could be your next big opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate diamond core drilling machines to extract rock and soil samples for exploration.
• Set up drilling rigs and related equipment at various locations.
• Monitor drilling operations to ensure proper core recovery and minimize deviation.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment to avoid downtime.
• Record drilling progress, core depths, and geological observations accurately.
• Follow instructions from geologists and supervisors for target zones.
• Ensure drilling is performed in accordance with safety standards and site procedures.
• Manage drill rod handling, water circulation, and core sample retrieval.
• Assist in mobilization and demobilization of drill sites.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations at all times.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in operating surface or underground diamond core drilling equipment.
• Strong understanding of drilling mechanics, core recovery, and rig safety.
• Ability to read and follow technical drilling plans and geological layouts.
• Physically fit and able to work in remote or rugged environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under field conditions.
• Valid Operator Certification or Relevant Technical Training is required.
• Previous experience in mineral exploration or mining drilling projects is highly desirable.
