Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead the Quality Management System (QMS) across civil and building projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on ISO 9001:2015 implementation expertise, the ability to lead both internal and external ISO audits, and at least five years of QA/QC experience within the construction sector. This role is based at the head office with regular site visits, working closely with project teams to ensure high standards of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the QMS (ISO 9001:2015).
• Plan and execute internal audits; coordinate certification, surveillance, and client audits; manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop project-specific Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), verify materials, and oversee inspection checklists.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and conduct root-cause analyses.
• Oversee controlled documentation, including drawings, test results, and turnover dossiers.
• Prequalify, audit, and monitor suppliers/subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Track performance metrics and present monthly quality reports for management review.
• Deliver training and promote a “right-first-time” culture within engineering, procurement, and site teams.
• Align QA activities with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements where applicable.
• Ensure contract and tender quality deliverables are met and regulatory compliance is maintained.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial/Quality Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification (IRCA/IATCA-recognized or equivalent).
• Proven track record of ISO 9001 implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate certificate/diploma in Quality Management.
• ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 (Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer).
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt, NEBOSH/IOSH certification.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and risk-based thinking.
• Strong understanding of construction workflows, testing, and inspection regimes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and training delivery skills.
• Strong data analysis, reporting, and presentation abilities (Excel, Power BI).
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and willingness to travel.

Relevant Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in QA/QC within the construction industry (roads, civils, structures, buildings).
• Experience leading organizations from gap analysis to ISO certification.
• Proven ability to manage supplier quality, NCR/CAPA processes, and client quality requirements.
