Job Description:
Assist Electricians/Technicians with routine installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical equipment and systems on both planned and reactive work. Ensure optimal plant availability and reliability while upholding safety procedures, isolation standards, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work from authorized job orders; follow lock-out/tag-out and isolation procedures.
- Prepare and stage equipment; assist with new installations, refurbishments, and maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine checks, diagnostics, and breakdown assistance under supervision.
- Complete documentation (job cards, checklists); ensure quality workmanship.
- Comply with safety requirements, switchgear management, and site rules.
- Support compliance with statutory and IEE standards; assist with inspections and audits.
Required Qualifications:
- Trade Test B, Level 1 Certificate or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to transformers, MCCs, VSDs, and industrial control systems.
- Knowledge of SSHE procedures; mining/processing plant exposure.
Skills:
- Electrical fault-finding, interpretation of electrical diagrams, good hand tools discipline.
- Proficiency with MS Word & Excel.
- Valid Class B driver’s licence and good driving record.
