Job Description:
Lead delivery of the Companys
asset business plan by directing the asset management team to achieve the overall plan, objectives, and targets. Build and maintain a responsive, progressive, and cohesive operating culture with a strong focus on safety, community, continuous improvement, and technology optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, procedures, and standards across mining, processing, geology, safety, community, administration, and environmental management.
  • Promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace; champion the Dont Walk Past culture.
  • Prepare annual budgets; coordinate monthly performance reports vs. budget (physical & cost).
  • Ensure operational targets are met/exceeded; evaluate and submit capex proposals.
  • Approve and direct remedial programs that improve mine development, performance, and technology; manage contractors where required.
  • Optimise operational plans, structures, processes, and technology to ensure fit-for-purpose asset operations.
  • Develop tactical programmes to deliver targeted business and asset objectives; embed continuous improvement.
  • Build, empower, mentor, and manage site leaders to drive a collaborative, inclusive culture.
  • Collaborate with corporate business & technical services on operational strategies and full value-chain integration.
  • Plan, evaluate, and decide on key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management requirements, legal obligations, and duty of care.
  • Develop business plans from technological, operational, and financial opportunities with clear recommendations.
  • Meet the highest standards in safety, quality, production, and people outcomes; maintain efficient systems and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and coaching across the asset and broader business.
  • Build strong stakeholder and community relationships; ensure quality interfaces with regulators and community networks.
  • Model safety leadership, professionalism, integrity, and open communication; promote professional development and positive employee relations.
  • Perform other duties aligned to operational requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or a relevant technical mining discipline (e.g., Geology, Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical).
  • Registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent business qualification.
  • Operational readiness exposure (greenfield/brownfield developments).
  • International experience (advantageous).

Skills:

  • Competent to be the appointed Registered Manager.
  • Strategic & conceptual thinking; strong planning and organisational ability.
  • People and project leadership; system development; facilitation and collaborative working style.
  • Familiarity with disruptive technologies, process automation, IT/business infrastructure.
  • Data analysis, predictive analytics, and KPI management capability.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, public-relations, and stakeholder management skills.

Relevant Experience:

  • 20+ years in the mining industry with large open-pit experience (essential).
  • 10+ years in senior, asset-level management leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven record delivering safety, operational, financial, talent, and continuous-improvement results.
  • Demonstrated implementation of innovative industrial technologies that improved efficiency and effectiveness.
