Job Description
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Measurement Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of measurement, quantification, and cost control on construction sites to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Verify site measurements and prepare progress valuations.
- Ensure accurate and timely measurement of construction works in line with project plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and quantity surveyors on cost and material assessments.
- Monitor project variations and assist in preparing claims.
- Maintain measurement records and documentation.
- Manage reporting and close-out processes.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction industry, with strong background in measurement or quantity surveying.
- Additional qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and measurement software such as WinQS or CostX.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Certification in Health & Safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is advantageous.
