Job Description

A leading mining and exploration company operating across Botswana, seeks a Senior Geologist (Exploration & Production) to join its dynamic technical team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing exploration activities, geological data analysis, drilling operations, and geological interpretation aligned with corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day exploration activities, including drilling and sampling.
• Oversee geological input for operational decision-making.
• Manage grade control and mining operations.
• Supervise geological data management and reporting.
• Ensure geological processes align with corporate and international best practices.
• Support and mentor junior geologists and local professionals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical excellence and efficiency.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s Degree advantageous).
• Minimum of 13 years’ experience in exploration and production.
• Strong background across multiple commodities and operations (diamonds, uranium, coal, base metals, etc.).
• Proven project management and technical reporting skills.
• Experience with geological software tools (Leapfrog, Micromine, Surpac, ArcGIS, Datamine).
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability.
• Familiarity with corporate standards and transparency best practices.
