Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Cryptographic Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will design and implement advanced cryptographic protocols and tools to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of our data and systems. This is a hands-on technical role requiring a deep understanding of encryption techniques, cryptographic libraries, and secure communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cryptographic algorithms and protocols.
• Evaluate and develop encryption techniques to secure software, network systems, and data.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cryptographic solutions into applications and systems.
• Conduct assessments and audits of cryptographic implementations to identify vulnerabilities.
• Enforce security best practices in key management, data encryption, and secure storage.
• Stay informed about emerging cryptographic trends and security standards.
• Support the design and deployment of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and key distribution systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to teams on cryptographic solutions and standards.
• Troubleshoot encryption-related issues in live environments.
• Conduct research and recommend innovations in cryptographic tools and methods.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cryptographic engineering or a related field.
• Strong expertise in symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms (AES, RSA, ECC).
• Proficient with cryptographic libraries such as OpenSSL and Bouncy Castle.
• Hands-on experience with secure protocols such as TLS/SSL and VPNs.
• Solid knowledge of cryptographic standards including NIST and ISO/IEC.
• Skilled in programming languages like Python, C, C++, or Java.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements such as GDPR or HIPAA.

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex cryptographic concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of network security (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with secure development practices and agile methodologies.
