Job Description:
A leading infrastructure and construction entity is seeking two highly experienced Project Manager with 20 years construction experience and 15 years in Project Management to oversee and manage large-scale Roads Projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring successful project execution from planning to completion, while maintaining adherence to technical specifications, regulatory requirements, budgets, and timelines. This role requires strategic leadership, expert project control, and strong communication to liaise effectively with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring milestones are met within scope, time, and budget.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Supervise project scheduling, cost control, procurement planning, and risk management.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality management standards.
• Resolve project-related issues and manage change requests efficiently.
• Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant construction laws, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with project goals.
• Monitor and approve project documentation, including designs, permits, and technical reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree BSc/BEng (Civil) or Similar
• Must be registered with Engineers Registration Board as a Professional Engineer.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in Project Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) are an added advantage.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Construction Management or related fields.

Skills:

• Strong leadership, organizational, and team coordination skills.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and project planning tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or other project management software.

Relevant Experience:

• Minimum of 20 years of total professional experience.
• At least 15 years of demonstrated experience in a project management role within the construction or civil engineering sector especially in Roads and Pavement.
• Proven track record in successfully managing large infrastructure or public works projects.
