Job Description:
Oversee end-to-end lodge operations, guest experience, and the hospitality department while driving marketing, sales, and business development to position the reserve as a premier destination. Lead a service-driven culture aligned to conservation values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day lodge operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.
- Develop and execute marketing plans for brand awareness, shareholder engagement, and bookings.
- Lead sales initiatives, partnerships, and business development.
- Oversee digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
- Act as key liaison among shareholders, guests, and industry stakeholders.
- Track performance metrics, analyse trends, and optimise strategies for growth.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage hospitality staff; ensure SOP and HSE adherence.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, Business Management, or related field.
- 5+ years in hospitality operations and marketing (eco-tourism/conservation lodges preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications/courses in digital marketing, brand management, or sustainable tourism.
- Conservation/wildlife tourism exposure.
Skills:
- Leadership and team management; guest-experience excellence.
- Business development and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in digital marketing and analytics; strong written & verbal communication.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work in remote environments.
- Passion for conservation and sustainable tourism.
Relevant Experience:
- Demonstrated success running lodge/hotel operations, leading marketing campaigns, and growing bookings and partnerships in a nature-based or remote setting.
