Job Description

We are seeking two experienced Business Development Officers with strong exposure to mine-related works, private sector construction projects, civil works, and infrastructure development. The ideal candidates will have a strategic mindset, technical background, and proven success in winning contracts and expanding business within the mining and construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in mining and private construction.
  • Develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with mining clients, private developers, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and lead bid submissions, tender documentation, and commercial proposals.
  • Support pricing strategies, BOQ reviews, cost estimates, and project commercial structures.
  • Represent the company in industry events, client meetings, and business negotiations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, QS, commercial, and operations) to ensure effective project follow-through.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Engineering / Quantity Surveying or related field (BSc/BE Civil or equivalent).
  • 10+ years general industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in a Business Development / Commercial / Tendering / Client Relations role within:
    • Mining sector works; and/or
    • Private construction sector
  • Strong technical understanding of civil engineering projects and commercial processes.
  • Successful track record of securing and managing high-value contracts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
