Job Summary:

The Investment and Risk Accountant will be responsible for managing tax obligations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and advising on investment strategies. This role involves managing debt investments, reconciling accounts, and supporting brokers and asset managers with financial services and risk management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate tax obligations and prepare related tax documents and reports.
  • Organize and maintain accurate financial and accounting records.
  • Manage debt investments and perform regular reconciliations.
  • Monitor third-party investment activities to ensure clients’ financial stability.
  • Provide advice and consultation to brokers and asset managers on taxes, accounting, and financial services.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, ACCA, or CIMA certification.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in an accounting firm.
  • Knowledge of Botswana Tax Laws.
  • BICA Registered.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and analytical.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced qualifications or certifications in financial management or risk assessment.


Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
