Job Description:
Lead end-to-end Distribution Centre operations across warehousing, inventory, order fulfilment, transport, and last-mile delivery. Drive cost efficiency, productivity, safety, automation, and service excellence while mentoring large multi-shift teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily DC operations: warehousing, inventory, fulfilment, transport, and dispatch.
- Ensure timely, accurate dispatches to meet service-level expectations.
- Design and implement operational strategies to improve cost, productivity, and safety.
- Lead continuous improvement (automation, layout optimisation, systems enhancement).
- Build, mentor, and performance-manage large teams (supervisors, warehouse & logistics staff).
- Ensure regulatory and company safety compliance and industry best practice.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics; analyse trends; resolve issues; report to executives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related (MBA preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training/certification in WMS/operations excellence or lean/CI frameworks.
Skills:
- DC leadership, people management, and high-throughput operations expertise.
- Proficiency with WMS, inventory control, and distribution technology.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Results-driven with focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Relevant Experience:
- 15+ years in logistics/warehousing/supply-chain operations.
- 5+ years in senior leadership managing large-scale DCs (FMCG/high-volume preferred).
