Job Description
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced SHER Coordinator to coordinate the implementation of Safety, Health, Environment & Risk programs and ensure organizational compliance with international standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000, as well as Kaizen and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will support the Group Risk and Compliance team to maintain a safe, sustainable, and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, implement, and monitor SHER activities to ensure compliance with best practices and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
- Develop, implement, and enforce SHER policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Conduct regular SHER assessments and advise management on potential risks.
- Participate in OHS committee activities and liaise with departmental safety representatives.
- Support implementation of other management systems such as Quality, Food Safety, Security, and Kaizen.
- Ensure all incidents, accidents, and near misses are documented, investigated, and corrective actions implemented.
- Prepare and participate in IMS compliance audits by compiling and analyzing data.
- Drive SHER and Kaizen initiatives to embed a strong safety culture.
- Support departments in coordinating internal compliance data and audits.
- Advise on SHER, ESG, and Kaizen-related compliance matters.
- Participate in continuous improvement through training and process reviews.
- Update SHER knowledge and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Review and update existing policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards.
- Conduct and participate in IMS audits (internal & external).
- Prepare monthly IMS activity reports and track improvements.
- Support implementation of ISO and Kaizen programs to maintain company compliance.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in OHS, Food Science & Technology, Environmental Health & Safety, or equivalent.
- Training on ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000 is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in FMCG or manufacturing.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent computer literacy.
