Job Summary:

The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing construction projects, primarily focused on water and wastewater works, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage budgets, procurement, and team performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all construction works on assigned project sites, particularly water and wastewater projects.
  • Liaise closely with employees on-site to ensure projects are executed as per the program schedule.
  • Coordinate site activities and interpret construction drawings as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards on-site.
  • Provide consultation to clients and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Manage procurement, budgeting, and planning activities for projects.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain detailed site records, status reports, and other essential documents.


Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university (a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer with a contractor (for Diploma holders).
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer with a contractor (for BSc Degree holders).
  • Hands-on experience with water and wastewater projects.


Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong ability to motivate and manage staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety on-site.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform high-level cost estimations and risk analyses.
  • Financial acumen and project management expertise.
  • Capability to manage projects from start to finish.
