Job Description: We are seeking an astute, detail-oriented, and passionate Fraud Investigator to join our team. This critical role is responsible for conducting in-depth forensic investigations to detect, analyse, and mitigate financial crimes and fraud-related risks across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, promoting integrity, and enhancing our ethical operating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigation & Risk Mitigation

  • Lead and conduct forensic investigations into fraud, cyber incidents, and financial crimes
  • Define scope and methodology for investigations in line with legal and internal requirements
  • Collect, preserve, and analyse digital and physical evidence
  • Apply data analytics and forensic tools to identify fraud patterns and schemes
  • Draft detailed investigation reports and present key findings to senior management
  • Support disciplinary, civil, and criminal proceedings

Fraud Strategy & Prevention

  • Implement and maintain the fraud risk management strategy
  • Oversee forensic policies, training, and awareness initiatives
  • Conduct fraud risk assessments and internal audits in collaboration with Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure timely and proactive fraud detection and intervention
  • Support due diligence efforts through employee pre-screening and vetting

Reporting & Governance

  • Prepare timely, accurate reports for the Head of GRC
  • Approve quantification methods for financial losses
  • Recommend action plans and recovery strategies
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards and legal compliance
  • Maintain and monitor investigation case dockets

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with law enforcement, legal teams, clients, and forensic experts
  • Represent the organization at forensic forums and present insights to senior leadership
  • Build and maintain a professional network within the forensic and compliance space

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Criminology, Accounting, Finance, Law, or Business Administration from a recognized institution
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or currently studying towards certification

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years in fraud investigations within a forensic or compliance unit
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence handling (physical and digital)
  • Skilled in presenting, reporting, influencing, and stakeholder communication

  • Advanced forensic investigation skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and technology application
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High integrity, discretion, and professionalism
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for fieldwork
