Job Description:

The Assistant Resident Engineer (Roads & Storm water) assists the Resident Engineer in supervising roadworks and storm water infrastructure projects, ensuring that construction adheres to approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor road and storm water construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Assist in reviewing contractor submissions and shop drawings.
• Maintain daily site records and prepare progress reports.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with stakeholders.
• Identify and report non-conformances.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (Civil Engineering) and
• A registered professional engineer.
• Minimum 6 years experience in Civil Engineering, experience as ARE in roads construction, stormwater/airport runway in a minimum of 2 projects.

Skills:

• Understanding of road and drainage engineering principles.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
• Site supervision and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of civil engineering materials and methods.
• Communication and coordination abilities.
